It contains dextromethorphan hydrobromide, which is a cough suppressant that works by blocking the cough reflex, and guaifenesin, which is an expectorant that helps to loosen mucus so that it can be coughed up more easily.

Usage
- Adults and Children 12 Years and Over: 20 mL every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed 120 mL in 24 hours.
- Children 6 to 11 Years: 10 mL every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed 60 mL in 24 hours.
- Children 2 to 5 Years: 5 mL every 4 to 6 hours, not to exceed 30 mL in 24 hours.
Contraindications
- Do not use if you are allergic to dextromethorphan hydrobromide, guaifenesin, or any of the other ingredients in this product.
- Do not use if you are taking MAO inhibitors (such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine) or have taken them within the past 14 days.
Indications
- For the temporary relief of coughs due to minor throat and bronchial irritation associated with the common cold, bronchitis, or allergies.
Warnings
- Do not use more than directed.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before using this product.
- Do not use if the safety seal is broken or missing.
Restrictions
- This product may cause drowsiness. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do other activities that require alertness until you know how this product affects you.
- Alcohol may increase the drowsiness effect of this product.
- Do not use for more than 7 days without consulting a doctor.
If you experience any of the following side effects, stop using this product and seek medical attention immediately:
- Allergic reaction (hives, swelling, rash)
- Seizures
- Fast or irregular heartbeat
- Confusion
- Hallucinations
- Restlessness
- Difficulty urinating
