Usage
Vermox Suspension is taken by mouth. It is important to take the full course of treatment, even if you feel better after a few days.
- Threadworm infection: Adults and children over 2 years of age: Take one 5 mL dose once a day for 3 days.
- Other common worm infections: Adults and children over 2 years of age: Take one 5 mL dose, morning and night for 3 days.
- Tapeworm infection: Adults: Take two 100 mg tablets once a day for 3 days. Children: The dose must be determined by a doctor.
Contraindications
Vermox Suspension should not be taken by people who are allergic to mebendazole or any of the other ingredients in the medicine. It should also not be taken by pregnant women or women who are breastfeeding.
Indications
Vermox Suspension is indicated for the treatment of threadworm (Enterobius vermicularis) infection, ascariasis (roundworm infection), trichuriasis (whipworm infection), and ancylostomiasis (hookworm infection). It is also indicated for the treatment of taeniasis (tapeworm infection) caused by Taenia saginata (beef tapeworm) or Taenia solium (pork tapeworm).
Warnings
Vermox Suspension can cause side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, headache, and dizziness. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own. If you experience any severe side effects, you should stop taking Vermox Suspension and see a doctor.
Restrictions
Vermox Suspension should be used with caution in people with liver or kidney disease. It should also be used with caution in people who are taking other medications that can affect the liver or kidneys.
