Usage
To use the Volumatic Spacer, follow these steps:
- Remove the dust cap from your inhaler.
- Shake your inhaler well.
- Attach the inhaler to the Volumatic Spacer.
- Hold the Volumatic Spacer in one hand and the mouthpiece in the other.
- Breathe out slowly and fully.
- Place the mouthpiece in your mouth and close your lips around it.
- Breathe in slowly and deeply through your mouth.
- Hold your breath for 10 seconds.
- Breathe out slowly.
- Repeat steps 4-9 for the number of puffs prescribed by your doctor.
Contraindications
The Volumatic Spacer is not for use with all types of inhalers. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist to see if the Volumatic Spacer is right for you.
Indications
The Volumatic Spacer is indicated for use with metered dose inhalers (MDIs) to deliver asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) medications.
Warnings

- Do not clean the Volumatic Spacer with hot water or harsh chemicals.
- Do not use the Volumatic Spacer if the medication is expired.
Restrictions
- The Volumatic Spacer should not be used by children under the age of 4 without adult supervision.
- The Volumatic Spacer should not be used if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
How long does a Volumatic spacer last?
The Volumatic Spacer should be replaced every 12 months.
How to clean a Volumatic spacer?
To clean the Volumatic Spacer, follow these steps:
- Remove the two halves of the spacer.
- Rinse the two halves of the spacer with warm water.
- Do not use hot water or harsh chemicals to clean the spacer.
- Allow the spacer to air dry completely.
- Reassemble the spacer.
