De-worm is an antihelminthic medication used to treat worm infestations in the intestines. It comes in a family pack of 10 tablets and is suitable for adults and children over the age of two.
De-worm is indicated for the treatment of a variety of worm infestations including roundworm, whipworm, hookworm, and pinworm infections. Symptoms of these infections may include abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting. De-worm works by paralyzing and killing the worms, which are then passed out of the body through bowel movements.
Each tablet of De-worm contains 100mg of mebendazole, which is the active ingredient. The inactive ingredients include lactose, maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, and anhydrous colloidal silica.
De-worm should not be used in individuals who are hypersensitive to mebendazole or any of the inactive ingredients in the medication. It is also contraindicated in individuals with liver disease or who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
De-worm should be used with caution in individuals with a history of liver disease or impaired liver function. It should not be used in children under the age of two without the recommendation of a healthcare professional. Individuals who experience symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, vomiting, or fever while taking De-worm should seek medical attention immediately.
De-worm is generally well-tolerated, but some individuals may experience side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or dizziness. These side effects are usually mild and go away on their own. In rare cases, more serious side effects such as liver damage, changes in blood counts, or allergic reactions may occur. If any of these symptoms occur, individuals should seek medical attention immediately.
